Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Haitian Salesien Alumni Association of New York.
This site is at the service of all Web surfers, especially the Haitian salesian alumni who, instilled of the spirit of Don Bosco, are searching to nourish and to preserve the bonds of love and friendship that link them to their former educators and, also unite them among themselves.

The Haitian Salesian Alumni Association of New York was founded by the Haitian salesian priest, father Jacques Mésidor, in the summer of 1974.

On November  8, 1976,  the  State of New York  recognized  the  Association as a Not-for-Profit corporation.

Father Jacques  Mesidor  wanted to  unite  the different age groups of Haitian salesian alumni living in the New York  metropolitan  area. As Chaplain of the association, he became the center of unity, of love and, above all  the guiding light. He continue to be for everyone, a friend, a consellor, a priest and a pilot.

While  his  life  was entirely  devoted to the spiritual  and  material well-being of the  youths in Haiti,  he found ways to assist the Hatian salesian alumni of New York. He taught them, by example, love for their neighbor, for Don Bosco, for Mary auxiliatrice and for the Salesian Institution. He will always be in their heart and in their prayers. He is greatly admired by the Haitian youths, inside as well as outside of Haiti
